My SMART goal for the next year is to engage in weekly exercise and swimming practice with the intention of achieving a new personal best time in the 400m freestyle event. Specifically, I will dedicate a set time each week to training in the pool, focusing on building endurance, improving technique, and increasing speed. By consistently committing to these training sessions and tracking my progress, I aim to attain a faster time in the 400m freestyle by the end of the year, reflecting my enhanced fitness and swimming abilities.

I will aim to achieve 10,000 steps every day by incorporating walking on the treadmill for one hour every day, five days a week, as well as walking during breaks at school, going for walks during lunchtime, and taking the stairs instead of the elevator. I will track my steps using a fitness tracker app and aim to increase my daily step count by 10% every month for the next 3 months. This will help me achieve a more active lifestyle and improve my overall health and well-being.

My goal for aikido in Martial Arts / Self Defence under Physical recreation category is to achieve a ni-kyu (2nd-level yellow belt) rank by successfully passing the aikido test within 6 months. I will attend aikido classes twice a week for 1 hour and will comply with the guidance of the instructor. I will also dedicate one hour every day in practicing aikido at home. Additionally, I will commit to attend at least one aikido seminar or tournament within this duration to become well equipped with the right knowledge and skillset needed to pass the aikido test.

My goal for Horse Riding in Outdoor Recreation under Physical Recreation is to become proficient in Horse Riding by practicing and taking part in at least 2 extra-curricular lessons within 6 months. To achieve this, I will practice riding for at least 1 to 1.5 hours per week at an indoor or outdoor riding arena, and I will also take part in at least 1 recreational riding trip outside of the arena within the period of 6 months. Additionally, I will attend at least 2 extra-curricular horse riding lessons, with the aim of learning how to maintain a safe and smooth ride.

My goal for Skiing – Cross Country in Snow / Winter activities under Physical recreation is to improve my skiing technique by participating in at least one cross-country skiing competition within 6 months. I will focus on developing better technique and increasing my overall performance, by attending cross-country skiing lessons at least once a week and practicing an additional two hours per week. I will also participate in two local ski races to test and evaluate my progress.

My goal for Tobogganing in Snow / Winter Activities under Physical recreation is to decrease my tobogganing time by at least 20% within 6 months. I will practice tobogganing twice a week for an hour each time, and will additionally practice on weekends for an additional 4 hour per month to Improve my agility, strength and timing when running down the toboggan run. Additionally, I will build a homemade toboggan run in my backyard to practice on, and will attend one professional tobogganing event or competition in the next 6 months in order to understand what I need to improve in order to be successful in the sport.

I will also research different Body Attack styles and strategies to further enhance my skills. My goal is to improve my overall Aerobics in Dance/Gymnastics skills by participating in at least three classes within 6 months. I will attend an Aerobics class twice a week for 1 hour, and I will practice at home for an additional 1 hour every week. I will also research different Aerobics styles and strategies to further enhance my skills. By the end of 6 months, I will be regularly participating in Aerobics classes, have a better understanding of the different styles and strategies used in the discipline and be more confident in my own performance.

My goal is to drastically improve my Kendo skills in martial arts and self-defense within 6 months by attending Kendo classes twice a week for 1 hour, and carrying out additional practice sessions at home for 2 hours a week. I will watch and implement techniques from instructional videos and attend competitions to test my skills and become more experienced in the sport. I will also strive to rank up my belt from beginner to intermediate to further my development in the sport.

My goal for Water Polo in Water Sports under Physical recreation is to increase my technical knowledge and skill level by participating in at least one Water Polo tournament or scrimmage within 6 months. I will attend a Water Polo league practice once a week for 1 hour and will practice at home in the pool for an additional 2 hours per week. This will enable me to practice the skills I learn in practice, such as passing, shooting, and defense, in order to become a better player. I will also pay attention to individuals on opposing teams to observe their strategies and skills. By doing this, I hope to use these strategies in my own game and become a more effective and successful water polo player.

My goal for Sledding in Snow / Winter Activities under Physical recreation Category is to improve my sledding skills by competing in at least one sledding competition or winter event within 12 months. I will attend sledding class twice a week for 1 hour and I will practice at home for an additional two hours per week. I will also take the necessary safety precautions to minimize the possibility of injury. I will utilize the resources at my disposal to be well-informed about the newest methods and strategies to further develop my sledding skills.

My goal for tennis in court / field Sports under Physical recreation is to improve my tennis skills by participating in tournaments, leagues or other events within 3 months. I will attend tennis classes twice a week for 1 hour and will practice at home for an additional 1 hour per week. I will also study the techniques and strategies of successful tennis players in order to improve my understanding of the game. Furthermore, I will strive to win at least one match in order to reach my goal.

My goal for Tennis in Court / Field Sports under the Physical Recreation category for teenagers between 14-18 years old is to improve my overall tennis abilities and compete in at least one tournament within 6 months. I will do this by practicing for 2 hours a week and attending international tennis workshops every month. I will also measure my progress every 2 weeks by taking notes of improvement in my tennis stroke, court coverage, and groundwork.

My goal for Jogging in Athletics under Physical recreation is to become proficient at 3 mile jogs within 12 months. I will focus on increasing my speed and endurance and making running a habit. I will plan to run three times a week on alternate days, starting with a minimum of 15 minutes per run and gradually increasing the time and distance. To reach this goal, I will join an Athletics club and take up weekly classes with an accredited coach. I will also plan to participate in at least one jogging competition or race within the 12 month period.

Goal: I will improve my Lacrosse skills and knowledge by participating in at least one Lacrosse tournament or competition within 6 months. I will attend Lacrosse practice twice a week for 2 hours and will practice at home for an additional 3 hours per week. I will also watch instructional videos, read books and speak to experienced players in order to gain the necessary skills and understanding of the game. My goal is to become more experienced in Lacrosse, increase my knowledge and performance level, and hopefully get on the school Lacrosse team by the end of the 6-month period.
