Goal: Within 12 months, I will develop intermediate-level reading and writing proficiency by engaging in a voluntary service program that encourages teenagers aged 14-18 to attend reading and writing workshops twice a week for 1 hour each time, with an additional 2 hours of practice at home per week. This program will facilitate the achievement of goals such as reading comprehension and composition of longer written pieces. These goals will be trackable with weekly assessments and reported back to the program facilitators.

Goal: Within 3 months, I will increase my Fire and Rescue Voluntary Service in Emergency Voluntary Services skills by attending at least 4 training sessions targeted at teenagers 14-18 years old and demonstrate proficiency in the areas of first aid, basic fire suppression, and search and rescue operations by passing the assessment tests. I will dedicate 2 hours per week to attend the training sessions and practice my skills through online resources to increase my knowledge and skills.

My goal for Teaching Assistance in Education under Voluntary Service is to become a certified volunteer teaching assistant in a classroom of teenagers aged 14-18 within 3 months. I will complete a 20-hour initial training program related to teaching assistance and will actively volunteer in a classroom for at least 1 hour a week to gain expertise in this field. I will also attend an additional continuing education training program related to teaching assistance within 3 months of volunteering to stay up-to-date with teaching methods and gain additional insight on how to effectively work with teenagers.

Goal for Other in Education under Voluntary Service Category: To develop my competency in volunteer service by working at a local community organization or charity at least once a week for 6 months. My goal is to gain insight into the vital work being done in my community and increase my understanding of how volunteer service can help affect positive change. I will read up on best practices in volunteerism and will attend seminars, if available, to learn more about the importance of volunteerism. Additionally, I will devote 4 hours a week to be actively involved in evaluation, execution and coordination of the volunteer activities.

My goal for Tutoring in Education under the voluntary service category is to become a tutor and mentor to ten disadvantaged high school students, aged 14-18, within the next 6 months by attending after-school tutoring classes three days a week. Throughout my time as a tutor, I will work to support the academic curricula of the school, as well as to help the students gain new skills and to build self-confidence. I will also provide moral and emotional support to any of the students that I tutored. Additionally, I will assess the academic progress of the students through appropriate tests and exams and provide feedback to the school administrators.
