My goal for Portuguese in Foreign Languages under the Skills category is to achieve a proficient level of speaking, writing and understanding within 6 months. To reach this goal, I will attend a Portuguese language class twice a week for 1 hour and practice at home independently for an additional 2 hours per week. I will use various online language tutorials and resources to supplement my class experience and will also make an effort to interact with others who speak Portuguese as their primary language. At the end of the 6-month period, I will be able to have basic conversations in Portuguese and understand most beginner language concepts.
